Tide height, high and low water, sunrise, sunset and moon phase are calculated on the device from harmonic constants. No connection needed, at the jetty or offshore.
Every NOAA station in the United States plus a global tide-gauge catalogue: Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, Vietnam, the Philippines, China, Japan, Korea, Australia, New Zealand and Europe.
The nearest gauge in a straight line is often the wrong one. Half Moon Bay's closest gauge sits inside San Francisco Bay and runs nearly two hours late. Tidewise compares tidal phase, not distance, and picks the station that actually matches your water.
Wave height, swell, period and sea state alongside wind, gusts, pressure trend, cloud and visibility — hour by hour for seven days, cached for offline use.
A simple, transparent rating from four things anglers already watch: tidal range, how close you are to the turn, the moon, and the hour around sunrise and sunset.
