Privacy Policy

AIBlack ("we", "our", or "us") operates the Nocturne FM mobile application (the "App"). Nocturne FM is a sleep sounds and ambient radio player for iOS, bundled with a curated library of ambient soundscapes. This Privacy Policy explains what information the App does — and does not — collect, how your device interacts with the App, and your rights with respect to any information involved.

1. Summary

Nocturne FM is designed to collect no personal data of any kind. The App requires no account, contains no advertising, includes no third-party analytics or tracking SDKs, and makes no network requests during ordinary use. All audio is bundled within the App and played locally on your device.

2. Information We Do Not Collect

Nocturne FM does not collect, store, transmit, or process:

• Your name, email, phone number, or any other identifier
• Your precise or approximate location
• Your contacts, photos, calendars, or reminders
• Microphone audio — the App does not request microphone access
• Camera or photo library data — the App does not request access
• Device identifiers, advertising identifiers, or analytics
• Crash reports tied to your identity
• Cookies, web beacons, or tracking pixels
• Payment or financial information

3. Information Stored Locally on Your Device

The App stores a small amount of non-personal preference data on your device to remember how you use it. This information never leaves your device:

• Favorites — the IDs of soundscapes you have favorited, stored in iOS UserDefaults.
• Recently played — a short list of the soundscapes you most recently played, stored in iOS UserDefaults.
• Selected soundscape and volume — the last track you played and your preferred volume setting, stored in iOS UserDefaults.

This data is stored exclusively within the App's sandboxed storage on your device, is not accessible to any other app, is not transmitted off your device, and is removed entirely when you uninstall the App.

4. Permissions

Nocturne FM does not request any sensitive permissions. The App does not ask for microphone access, camera access, location, photos, contacts, local network, Bluetooth, notifications, or any other iOS permission prompt.

The App uses Apple's background audio capability so that playback continues when the screen is off or locked. This is a standard iOS capability declared in the app manifest and does not transmit any data.

5. Network Activity

Nocturne FM is designed to run fully offline. All 50 soundscapes are bundled with the App and played from local storage. The App does not stream audio, does not make third-party network requests, and does not phone home. It functions identically in airplane mode.

Your device may still make network requests on the App's behalf for system-level reasons — for example, Apple's servers may validate the App's receipt when you install or update it. Those requests are handled by iOS and Apple, not by Nocturne FM. See Apple's Privacy Policy for details on what Apple collects when you use an App Store app.

6. Third-Party Services and SDKs

Nocturne FM uses only Apple system frameworks. We do not integrate any third-party analytics, crash reporting, advertising, attribution, A/B testing, remote configuration, or tracking SDKs.

• Apple AVFoundation — used for audio playback of bundled soundscapes. Governed by Apple's Privacy Policy.
• Apple SwiftUI / UIKit — used for the app interface. No user data is transmitted.

7. Data Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell, trade, rent, or share any personal information with third parties, because we do not collect any. We do not have a database of users and have no way to identify any individual user of the App.

8. Children's Privacy

Nocturne FM is suitable for all ages and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has somehow provided personal information through the App, please contact us — though, because the App collects no personal data, there should be nothing on our end to remove.

9. Data Security

All local preference data is stored within iOS's sandboxed app storage, isolated by the operating system from other applications. Because we operate no servers and collect no user data, there is no server-side data store that could be breached.

10. Your Rights

Because Nocturne FM collects no personal data, there is no personal data for us to access, correct, export, or delete on your behalf. If you wish to remove the local preference data the App stores on your device, uninstall the App from your device and iOS will remove it automatically.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the App, in applicable law, or in best practices. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date above. Material changes will additionally be noted in the app release notes. Continued use of the App after any update constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.

12. Governing Law

This Privacy Policy is governed by the laws applicable where AIBlack operates. Where local consumer-protection or privacy laws (including the GDPR and CCPA) grant you additional rights, those rights apply to the extent they are relevant — noting again that we collect no personal data to which such rights could attach.
